Rex Dunombe lay claim to be Australia first computer programmer in modern times 1963 for Macquarie Textiles - Albury NSW, writing in hexadecimal and pin tape.
It was used to work out gearing on textile machines. Maybe there was someone before 1963 but we know of no one programming in business before this date..

Sunday 30th June 2019

Well if you are in business in Australia today was the end of the year and you be at work doing a stock take...

Down the hill from home I walked across from home to get the "Pot Plant" the other day and notice a heap of rubbish in the rock area I went for a walk today and found a heap of junk. This old track is no longer used by anyone. I go for a walk over winter and do a bit of a clean up...

This is the far bottom of our driveway heading into town...

A picture in error today, I was waving the camera around to get rid of fly's and took a picture, note the fly's they are bad up here right now... Bet I could not do that again no matter how hard I tried...

I used the last 1/4 bag of the "Ardit floor leveller" today and did a second coat in the kitchen. No matter how it looks it feels like glass it is so smooth all I need now is another ten bags to finish the job... Had one bag only as a test you got to give it a 10 out 10...

LED Lights we have a plan for the new hallway and kitchen these are 12 volt LED Lights... On the car I have a Solar Cell that tops up a 12 volt battery in the car... We use it to power the caravan say December to May each year the plan is to remove it from the car May to November and set up to power lighting in the hallway and kitchen.. Free lighting... The pen in the picture is there to show the size of each light we have 20 lights right now to set up...

A bit of a mix tonight, but good fun...

Hello Joi and Peter in Melbourne...

Have fun....

Saturday 29th June 2019

What a shocking day it was good then bad then a shocker... We went out to coffee and it was ok weather we had a good time at the shop and a big crew around the table...

Then on the return trip out the road the wind came up very strong.

You could see the weather turning bad.

By the time I got home we had ourself a big dust storm and it never stop heading to the South East..

It cleared up at home but a lot of dust to the East..

Then tonight at Sunset the dust was blocking the Sun out (I tried for 50yrs to get a picture like this.) It could be Mars but it is our sun 30min's a ago...

It just got better..

With a lot of zoom on the camera a outback Sunset tonight, you could not take a picture like this without the dust. The sun would cook the inside of your camera...

All good here a shocking day, did nothing but had fun...

Tomorrow another day...

Friday 28th June 2019

I worked on the kitchen floor, "Ardit Floor Leveller" we got one bag to try in Broken Hill and it did a good job this is the first time I have used leveller...

Not all of it but some of the cement in the new kitchen was pitted really bad, I was told to use floor leveller so I gave it a go... Before

The same bit of cement after one coat it sets like a Jelly about 3mm thick. After

Here is another bit I did today.. As for using it I am wearing an "L" plate... So I need to buy a lot more Ardit like the rest of the house we paint the floor and add a gloss...

I have about 1/4 of a bag left so I give this a second coat..

My sister Muffy been working on her garden in Albury, daughter Kylie sent me some pictures....

A few years back I attacked this with a axe, this year it is looking great...

It's sure better than any garden in White Cliffs... Well Done...

Tomorrow we have coffee at Red Earth and tomorrow night we are going to a 50th Birthday Party...

Coffee at the Pub on Sunday...

White Cliffs never stops...

Hello to Faye in Wangaratta try keep dry tomorrow...

Thursday 27th June 2019

A big day driving Broken Hill to White Cliffs it was the same 300km's but seem to go on forever today, car good used 12.5 lt's per 100/km's not bad for a big motor 3500 cc ...

Tonight we are back home in White Cliffs in the cave...

As I said the road went of for ever today... We had breakfast at Little Topar 75km's East of Broken Hill...

The creek 30km's South of White Cliffs, we are on the new bridge that is the old bridge in the picture. I like that picture I have to talk to the Art Department it would make a nice Art Painting...

The same creek but looking the other way... No water but I have seen this creek running over the top of the old bridge...

Bernie
Gee Rex.  Good detective work Inspector Rex with that high power lens on your surveillance camera for you have found your big, missing flower pot. Bill and Ben the flower pot men can be very mischievous.  One could imagine these two villains are probably the same ones erecting those mysterious  stone mounds around White Cliffs do you think.

From Bernie you have to read the picture... All just good fun HaHaHa...

Good to be home it is nice and warm sleeping underground...

A big hello to Scott in Wangaratta...

Wednesday 26th June 2019

We are in Broken Hill tonight it a medical trip so no trailer this trip, Medical wise nothing to report all results in a week time... The doctor be in White Cliffs...

Carol had the camera we went for a drive down the main street of Broken Hill heading West to East...

Main Street of town well not a town Broken Hill is a big City, this is old building of local rock..

The Art Building and the Post Office clock tower...

The main shopping strip in town..

Another Old Pub that is still trading

The main crossing in town...

We are in Broken Hill tonight and we pickup a food order at Woolworths around 8am in the morning then fill with fuel and head for home 300km's with one turn... I sit on around 95kph all the way have to look after the car...

Have fun hello to David and Sue.....

Tuesday 25th June 2019

We had a very cold night in White Cliffs and a cold morning, so I was a bit late getting outside to work... the first job was walking around the underground filling any cracks in the wall of the house with white Gap Filler... Not many this time it winter so you do not get many... I check out the house every three months..

Then a really big job I got out the round up and sprayed the weeds around the house, gee there is a lot...

I took this picture looking at Turley Hill White Cliffs and love the sky color almost all homes on Turley Hill are Underground as we are...

Tonight's sunset and as you can see a number of trucks coming in town from down South a very tame sunset tonight but still a nice color...

Then I had a really big problem with my phone it had an update and it stopped working (an update is to make things better) what a stuff up... The problem is what they call the Phone Launcher it took four hours to sort out this afternoon... Anyway it is now working (I hope)...

Tomorrow we are off to Broken Hill and back home Thursday (medical trip) no trailer this trip, stay one night then come home...

Have fun all, and a big hello to Muffy my sister in Albury... (kylie)

Tomorrow from Broken Hill..

Monday 24th June 2019

We got up and the first gob (try job) today was the car, I did a service on the car this morning.

Fitted a new oil filter and new oil the morning. Draining the oil easy but the oil filter under a plastic cover and not easy to get at, you need to remove the plastic under pan to get at the oil filter. The end story is the job is all done, White Cliffs style...

This poor tree had a really bad time Jacaranda Tree the Kangaroos ave eaten it the Goats got at it the Emu got at it so I removed the wire guard it was not working so I now work on a better version..

Then it was back working in the New Kitchen, time to fit some pipes under the sink to the outside...
Must say it a job I hate and that is hooking up pipes here in White Cliffs You do a job then find you need one bit so I start now...

Something took a prices off my big finger today just not sure how I did it, bit sore tonight...

Got a parcel from "eBay" today 20 of LED lights to use in the new kitchen (they are 12 volt lights) the plan is to take the 80 watt solar cell off the car and setup outside the house, charge a 12 volt battery and run the lights from Solar power in the new hall way and the new kitchen...

Well that's it you all have fun....

And hello to Vicki here in White Cliffs hope you are feeling better...

Sunday 23rd June 2019

A cold day 12c top at 4pm most of today it was around 9 to 10c and to tell the truth we sat outside in the sun at the back of the "White Cliffs hotel"... Yes we are drinking a free bottle of water before lunch.. The pub opens at 12 midday.

Yes we sat around a wooden cable reel at the back of the pub talking and having a great time with local people it was a fun day.

We went at 10am for coffee and stayed for lunch a great meal... Took the picture with my camera phone, it's not bad but the picture a bit on the small side... we ended up with a good size group around the reel...

We went down late afternoon and recovered the flower pot it is now back at home... And it is not broken I need to plant some flowers in the pots... Going into Broken Hill on Wednesday I add flowers to my list...

When the sun started to go down tonight the super cold wind came in from the South West, gee it was a cold wind...

We had a no work day but I get back into it in the morning, they are talking about rain at the end of the week here in White Cliffs...

Met some nice people today, it was good...

Have fun... Hello to Paul and Gail...

Friday 21st June 2019

Well it is Friday Night and the weekend is here, had a busy week worked most day... No more Diet Coke at the pub as I was the only buyer of Diet drinks and the date on the drinks runs out end of June, they gave me the last three boxes for Free today.. Thanks people they will not go to waste..

From Bernie in Howlong, I never put emails on 3dots but I had to put this one...

I'm very impressed with your recent extensions and renovations to your Smith's Hill dugout, Rexie. Was the building [as in this photo] one of your earlier architectural achievements?

Ar Bernie we love it...

Back in the kitchen today ran a power line from the wall to the stand alone bench and draws that will make up the bench in the middle of the room...

Still have a long way to go but I hope to stay here to the finish...

Right on the side of our driveway here at White Cliffs and many other places around town... The "Board of works" are up to something.. I asked around a new Freeway to Queensland, a V8 Supercar track around the hill.. I think I have an answer about three years ago the town was given $5,000,000 for a new water system around White Cliffs, nothing happen. Well maybe it just got underway a new filter system, new pipes the lot... no-one is saying a word but that's my guess...

Well that's Friday and Coffee tomorrow...

You all have fun, we are doing a trip into Broken Hill next Wednesday ...

Thanks all, and Hello to Ian and Pauline near Sydney...

Thursday 20th June 2019

We went out this morning with friends who are staying at the White Cliffs Caravan Park, we met them in Walla Walla North of Albury Wodonga in December last year. Today we had coffee together here in White Cliffs, nice people...

You get a lot of crazy talk in this made town, tonight it is 0c in White Cliffs that be a first for Carol and I... Told today we need more Green Gas, a coal power station as we are having a Global Freeze... Ice in White Cliffs next thing it be snow.. An older lady in town told me they had snow in June 1976...

The Art House and Op-Shop needs a good paint it is Open Monday to Wednesday each week...

Looking down the main street in CBD area of White Cliffs...

I took this picture from up top of our place today, we are looking due North to Queensland I been cleaning up, now the weed are the last job. Need to get the weed killer out...

Did a trip to the rubbish tip today and took this picture of the East end of Smiths Hill (this is not our place, we live on the North side of the same hill)... All the homes on the hill are underground homes...

A bit of a mix today but it was a good day in town the caravan park is quite full, a lot of caravans...

You all have fun...

Hello to Joi and Peter in Melbourne...

Wednesday 19th June 2019

Did a bit more on the kitchen today, cut a 2.5m grove in the cement floor for power... and I must say that is not easy and it is a dusty, dirty job.

What it for, we have a kitchen along the front wall and we have an island bench for the kitchen... I want power at the Island Bench so I had to cut a grove from the side wall to the Island Bench the power will come up under the bench. The hook up will be done by a electrical worker..

Went out on the Westfield Opal mine area today to see friends who live next to their Opal mine. They visit the area maybe one or two months a year...

Here are some picture from Bill in Queensland I never new about the reef, good story...

Part of the same story from Queensland..

Bill sent two more pictures he took on a early morning walk..

I take a Sunset Bill gets the Sunrise while I sleep in...

. Picture from Susan my daughter in Canberra, taken from her unit early in the day fog and Sunrise... Another one who gets out of bed early and heads off to work... Thanks Susan...

Hello to Bill and Marg in Queensland...

They say "0" tonight in White Cliffs "0" that's a first for Carol and I....

Have fun...

Tuesday 18th June 2019

What did we do today, the first thing I did was put a jumper on it was only 16c here in White Cliffs very cold wind from the South West...

I worked in the new hallway today building the new laundry and new linen room...

From the right side you see the back door of the Underground Home the small room is the new Linen Room and the room next to that, on left side of the picture is the new laundry it will have a wash tub and a washing machine plus a small bench area.

The plan today was to finish off the roof area on top of the house but a strong and very cold wind told me to work inside... What I need now is Gyprock about 15 sheets of it to complete the hallway...

Note there will a 620mm wide door on the Linen Room, on the Laundry area will have a pull down blind... We seen this on House Rules (tv) and it suits us...

After that I went and helped a local lady with her new phone... Between us we got it going gee it's all so hard these day... We need a Scott in town...

Seen a Kangaroo jumping around today the first one in weeks...

Had a number of people ask about the White House in Yesterdays "Three Dots" that is a really nice "Underground Home" The best in town and the best in Australia... Is it all White, well most of it is White but that is not the reason it is call White House... The people who own it are Mr and Mrs White...

I took a lot of pictures myself and made the White's a webpage... CLICK HERE

Have a look at our page on the Website....

That's it today, you all have fun...

Hello to Doug in Queensland hope your feeling better....

Monday 17th June 2019

It was up early and working in the new hallway but that is about to come to a stop we are almost out or material required to finish the job... So I make a list and move onto the next job...

I got up on the roof to work out a plan to seal the roof of the hallway, tonight I have a plan and just hope it will work..

Here the bit I need to work on, as I said we have a plan...

The hallway goes in under the veranda this is where we collect most of our rain water 75 sqM (1mm of rain on 75 sqM will add 75 lt's to the water tank below... We are adding another 20 sqM with the new section...

Sunset at home looking West, that a stupid the sun always sets in the West... Nice sunset but no rain not a drop today...

Have a look at this on the ABC Website, it is about the White Underground home in White Cliffs and is the best underground home in Australia... They are still working on the home after 12yr's of work..

They are friends of ours and I know hour much work it would have been...

That's Monday, Hello Troy and Kylie in Thurgoona.

You all have fun...

Sunday 16th June 2019

We stayed home today and did a bit more on the Hallway to the new kitchen, I spent around 7 hr's on the hallway and feel a bit sore tonight...

If I could see light I filled it in, still a lot more to go but made a big start today...

What would we do without glue I sand it back when it is hard then paint...

. . That the hall late today anywhere you see light is still to be done, when we see no light the job is done...

They are going to rebuild the old White Cliffs power station, this was the first power station in the World. When the Solar cell was invented the station closed... They it's part of Australia and years ago it was power for White Cliffs...

This where the water came from for the Solar Power Station...

Just went outside and had a look to the South, the sky looks a bit dark but we have had no rain today...

Don't know who it was but a Jet took off from the White Cliffs Airport around midday wow it was really fast it went out of sight in about 5sec...

Peter a White Cliffs local is now reading Three Dot's welcome...

You all have a great week...

Saturday 15th June 2019

When out for Coffee at Red Earth this morning and all good, guess who dropped a plate Opp's sorry Graham I buy you a tube of glue when in Broken Hill in a week or so...

Taken outside our Underground Home at about 10am that a big bird not sure what it is a Hawk at a guess...

The White Cliffs Golf Links. One day I try a round they play here on a Wednesday and on a Sunday....

Golf Links (by the way the "S" driveway up the hill is ours...

Golf Links, a Tee and as I said Wednesday or Sunday...

A lone tree left on the Hill just out of town, a hundred or so fell in the drought over the last nine years...

Well I got rid of all the weeds (that took three days) a bit of trim to be added and a wash down and it's ready to paint outside the Underground, that be the backdoor...

I had two people talk to me about Tyres in the last 48hr's I run Goodride SU318H/T 16" wheel ... Why they cheap and they are hard in the side walls. The rocks cut the side walls up quite bad. A number of people are using these in town.. I got mine at Tyre Power $150.00... Ian and Bert hope this answer's you question...

That's it today a bit of a mix hello Sue n David you all have fun...

Friday 14th June 2019

I can say very little about today we had a free lunch at the White Cliffs Sporting Club and met with people from the NSW Lands Office and a group who have claimed "Land Rights" in White Cliffs.

..

That's all I say it was a meeting that missed the point the locals sat around two tables if they hold another meeting I stay at home...

I am still cleaning up outside our home I found a $1.50 today on the ground so I put it in a money box that I say for next Christmas Holiday.. By the way we are looking at leaving December 1st...

If there no wind tomorrow I get out the weed killer and give that rubbish weed a spray... The outback of Australia is green but still no Wildlife to be seen...

That Friday, and how it worked out, hope we have a better weekend...

Thursday 13th June 2019

A very mixed up day, the loss of power was a total non event, the power never went off not sure why it never happen but we had power all day...

If I had to guess we had 10mm of rain at home last night and that was a great, our water is full to the top of the tank 1000lt's in the tank... I guess that was the reason the power line works never happen...

The plan was to go out side a weed outside the back door and we stuck to that plan this morning...

I got a heap of the rubbish weed growing I never seen it before this year...

I started cleaning the weed away today just outside the back door as you can see I used a shovel and that took four hours..

I have this very old water tank it was here when we came in 1995 but it has a hole in the bottom, can anyone help on how to repair the tank, love your comments.

...
As you can see the hole is about 3" (75mm) across there are other rust marks but I can clean them up with a wire brush... I have a place to put the tank it is 3ft Sq.. just over a 1000lt's (I think)... I like some help on the one.

Tonight outside and way before Sunset, almost a green in the cloud.

Tomorrow we are going out to a free lunch at the Sporting Club put on for the town by the state.. As we all know there no such thing as a free lunch...

Well that was today you all have fun...

Wednesday 12th June 2019

The big question is will it rain tonight the Weather Man is saying 1-5mm and 90% well it will have to happen tonight because nothing happen today... More on that later...

The Royal Flying Doctor Service came in over home around 4pm today I just happen to there with the camera at the time...

Coming in for a landing at White Cliffs, look at the sky will it rain sure looks like it...

Then it was time to get ready for tomorrow "No Power" all day from 8am to 4pm... Been told it maybe longer..

The BBQ has been cleaned up ready for tomorrow "No Power Day" the gas is hooked up and ready for action..

That's a bucket 70% full and the plan is let it freeze tonight and hope it will stay cold till the power comes back on.. Most of the food is in the frig...

I know from the passed we will have no phone system after 10am up at the phone tower it has a backup battery that last around three hours..

Three Dots may happen tomorrow then again it may not... It should happen I think...

You all have fun tomorrow, it looks like we will...

Tuesday 11th June 2019

We had a really good night out with friends last night sitting around a fire outside in the yard, thank you people...

I returned our big 45kg LP Gas Bottle the reason being we have installed a electric hot water system and we no longer use LP Gas at the house on the small 9kg LP Gas on the BBQ...

Talking about BBQ we have been giving the BBQ here a really big cleanup, on Thursday 13th we have no power all day from 8am to 4pm they are working on the power line somewhere...

I have the solar cell on the car we use when we free camp in the caravan I can plug into that for lighting and we can cook on the BBQ...

I went outside with the camera mid afternoon and seen a half moon and took this happy snap. At apogee — the farthest away it gets — the moon is 405,696 km from Earth. On average, the distance from Earth to the moon is about 384,400 km. According to NASA,

Well that a long way for a $300 camera it did a good job...

The ground red for some reason it's getting really red this year...

Now a really big question will it rain tomorrow they say it will 1 to 5mm 90% that be nice but we need to wait and see.

As for today it was 27c here outside in the shade, the underground home sitting at 23c inside and the normal for a underground home...

That's it today you all have fun...

Monday 10th June 2019

A new week, we did a lot of work today it all started with a leaking pipe in the bathroom that was an easy fix with a screw driver.

Next was the mat in the lounge it was showing a bit of dirt and that was red dirt, so we took it out and used a pressure washer to clean it...

It did a great job we tossed the mat over the trailer....

I give the mat another wash tomorrow, but the pressure washer did a great job..

As you can see it was 26c in the shade today and they are saying rain on Wednesday...

The rest of the day I put up a roof on the new hallway to the kitchen (That's the next job.)... That my tool room at the far end just need to buy a door...

From the hallway the door into the new kitchen... I clean it up then paint it... Still have lots of small stuff to do in the hallway...

Need to fill in all the gaps in the hallway, that will take a few day and we will start that in the morning...

I stuffed another 4" grinder today, I had one go bang in October last year so over Christmas I got a new one, another old one went up in a flash of flame and smoke today... So I unpacked the new one...

Sunset last night, not bad then I turned around...

This is looking East away from the sunset, not a bad picture... (but no rain)...

We are going out for a meal tonight so I am doing Three Dots early... Looking forward to tonight they are nice people...

Tomorrow I may give that mat a second wash before I bring it back inside...

You all have fun this week...

Sunday 9th June 2019

We went to the White Cliffs Hotel this morning for Coffee and Breakfast and it was quite cold at the time then the wind turn from the North West, that was a bit warmer.. But very little sunlight today...

Later in the day I took the camera and went for a walk around our land above the Underground Home...

I walked around looking for plant life I do this around once a year... All pictures are wild plants and nothing we planted...

A White Cedar pops up I wish they grow away from the home...

This is the leaf from a full size White Cedar Tree...

What sort of tree, note the bottom right seed pods, in summer they go bang like a shotgun and spray seeds up to 2m away...

There maybe another name but I am told Afghan Hops...

Why is the outback so green, it covered in this weed and the wildlife do not seem to eat it?....

A lot of the Salt Brush trees are getting new shoots...

I planted this tree here 24yr's ago, it was about 6" high and right where our air-shaft so we mover it maybe 10ft and it is still growing...

While up top I seen this heap maybe 500m away so Zoom up the camera, yep junk metal junk but say quite old junk.

How the sky looked most of the day but no rain....

I am putting a roof on the hallway, still have a long way to go.... This is over the storeroom, you always need a backup in White Cliffs... What I mean on friday night we had a Microwave go bang in a big way we had a backup one in the storeroom and installed it in the kitchen...

Hope the wind drops tomorrow morning so I can get some work done on the roof...

You all have fun...

Tomorrow another day....

Saturday 8th June 2019

Thanks to Wombat Gully Photography for this stunning  drone photo taken last weekend, 3 July 2019 of the tail end ( Mitta River end, north west of Tallangatta) as Lake Hume near Albury / Wodonga slowly rises from 13% one month ago to 15% as above date. The rising water over the flats is not due to rain, but a release from Lake Dartmouth which is  now holding 64% capacity. Sent to Three Dots by Bernie in Howlong...

Then I had some pictures sent from Doug in Queensland all below.

A real classic car.

Yep pink, who paint a car pink.

The Road Runner, good art work..

You got to love this that take a bit of work..

Bones...

Like you said this would not be easy to build, four wheels up front... At Caloundra 700 cars today, wow that's a lot.

Well we stayed home today and worked on the hallway I got a bit done and will get back into it tomorrow...

Had to pull the pressure washer apart this morning it would not work, so I fixed it White Cliffs style today. I know nothing but pulled it apart (lots of parts) and found the motor full of stone's very small.. Anyway it's all fixed and back in working order...

Carol gave me a hair cut, number one as they say, gee it is short...

Have fun and Doug and Bernie thanks for the pictures today...

It's a long weekend and coffee tomorrow is at the White Cliffs Hotel in face they putting on a full breakfast in the morning...

Friday 7th June 2019

It already 7pm and I only just stop working, a big day, working in the hallway... I needed some timber for the roof of the hallway.

We had some very old timber 6" x 4" I chopped one big beam up and still have one left for later. It's very old timber.

Still using a very old Triton Saw but still doing the job...

My mobile work bench a 6 x 4ft trailer with a top, does the job...

.. And hear what we need and cut from a big timber 6" x 4" tomorrow we will install the 50mm Sq beams... Then fit the roof on the hallway...

And where did you come from landing at the Sporting Club Oval had about six people in it... This picture was taken from home about 1.5km's away, it hard to hide from that camera.. It came in almost on sunset...

I am very late the weekend is here you all have full...

Thursday 6th June 2019

Went to the eye doctor and all good they are 95% he told me so I have to be happy with that, around 4:30pm I went down town to take some pictures for Three Dots. Notice the Flying Doctor land to pick doctors who worked in White Cliffs today...

Pilot getting ready to take off at White Cliffs...

Here a short video I took today, a lot of wind so turn down the sound... CLICK HERE

The White Cliffs phone towers and a heap of other stuff on the two towers.

From Turley Hill looking back at Smith's Hill where we live.. Note the red circle where we live..

This is looking South a perfect day but we still have a cold wind from the South...

Next week they are saying it will be 27c in town, that be nice and they are also talking rain next Wednesday that be even better..

Also seen a Kangaroo hop up our hill today... I am sure it said "I'm Back."

Wednesday 5th June 2019

We are back home in White Cliffs after a 300km drive, first off today was the car rego check, and all was a go not a problem I like hearing "No problem it's fine"...

Next was a food order from Woolworth's Supermarket... then we filled with fuel and then set off for home... with the trailer on the back we used 13lt fuel per 100km's on the way home...

I cannot get over how green the trip was...

It's the Worlds biggest Golf Links just look at it... We seen two dead Kangaroo's on the road by no wildlife to be seen in 300km's

Head on into the sun on the way home, 100km's from Wilcannia to White Cliffs we travelled due North...

About 40km's South of White Cliffs... A narrow bridge...

I had a trailer load full of timber and cement sheet for the new kitchen area, I get back into that on Friday morning.

Tomorrow I have a diabetes eye check with the Flying Doctor Service...

Good trip, it only had one down side, went to the shop and got some battery's that we need at home, I left the bag on the trailer and lost the lot... My fault, I was packing food in the back of the car and did not look back... What do they say "That's Life"

You all have fun...

Broken Hill is an inland mining city in the far west of outback New South Wales, Australia. It is near the border with South Australia on the crossing of the Barrier Highway (A32) and the Silver City Highway (B79), in the Barrier Range. It is 315 m (1,033 ft) above sea level, with a hot desert climate, and an average rainfall of 235 mm (9 in). The closest major city is Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, which is more than 500 km (311 mi) to the southwest and linked via route A32.

The town is prominent in Australia's mining and economic history after the discovery of silver ore led to the opening of various mines, thus establishing Broken Hill's recognition as a prosperous mining town well into the 1990s. Despite experiencing a slowing economic situation into the late 1990s and 2000s, Broken Hill itself was listed on the National Heritage List in 2015 and remains Australia's longest running mining town.

By Glen Parker, Broken Hill as Art.

Broken Hill has been referred to as "The Silver City", and less commonly as the "Oasis of the West", and the "Capital of the Outback". Although over 1,100 km (680 mi) west of Sydney and surrounded by semi-desert, the town has prominent park and garden displays and offers a number of attractions, such as the Living Desert Sculptures. The town has a high potential for solar power, given its extensive daylight hours of sunshine. The Broken Hill Solar Plant, which was completed in 2015, is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Another Broken in Art..

Unlike the rest of New South Wales, Broken Hill (and the surrounding region) observes Australian Central Standard Time (UTC+9:30), the same time zone used in South Australia and the Northern Territory. This is because at the time the Australian dominions adopted standard time, Broken Hill's only direct rail link was with Adelaide, not Sydney. Similarly, Broken Hill is regarded as part of South Australia for the purposes of postal parcels rates, and telephone charges. Broken Hill also used to be a break of gauge station where the state railway systems of South Australia and New South Wales met.

Saturday 1st June 2019

June already and in six months as of today we hit the road...

That driveway of ours in White Cliffs... I went down and back up with a rake in hand and moved off all the loose rocks... The wildlife flicks the rock onto the drive way and it take three or four hours to clean. This year we have no wildlife and it took 45min's to clean...

Picture below are all from Bill in Queensland...

Bill got really early for a walk along the beach area, and sent Three Dots some pictures..

All the foot prints are wiped in the morning by grader making the beach really nice and clean looking especially in front of surf club areas.

A bit of light that's a good picture Bill.. Looks like a nice day for a Queensland beach walk...

Going to Broken Hill on Monday morning, car rego time. I take the trailer with me and get some timber..

I put the caravan on blocks so I do some work under the van this year.

Have fun this weekend, coffee in the morning then I better clean the car...

You all have fun...
